Lake conditions have really changed in the last 7 days! The recent rains and cool nights have dropped the surface temps down about 10 degrees from last Saturday. Water is also stained making it great for bass fishing! The Walleye and crappie bite should get better now that we are reading water temps in the low 80’s instead of the middle 90’s. I have been seeing a lot of large catfish being caught on a variety of methods. Both Channel and Flat Head are starting to feed.
Water Level – 661.2
Water Temp – 82 degrees

Black Bass – Good on Top water including Spooks, Ploppers and Buzz Baits. Also good on large plastic worms and jigs in 18 to 25 ft off of points and steep bluffs. Also good on large crank baits in the same range.
Walleye – Fair to Slow on bottom bouncing night crawlers in 30 + ft of water.
Crappie – Slow on live minnows in brush piles. Suspended in 20 ft. (Crappie should start to come up better later this week with the surface temp cooling down)
