Several bass boats were broken into at 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 31st at K Dock Marina. We are asking for your help to catch the person, or persons involved. Camera image shows one male wearing a hat, shorts and what appears to be work boots, prying open locked storage boxes on the decks of at least 5 bass boats. We believe this person traveled by boat from J Hwy in the Trigger Creek cove, or from Cedar Creek at the Moore’s Bend access across from the marina. The thief took mostly crank baits. He dumped the lures from their plastic storage containers and threw the empty containers into the lake. One Lawrance fish finder was taken as well as two reals that were removed from their rods on one boat. This leads us to believe that he was travelling in a small boat or kayak since he didn’t steal any fishing poles. We are still gathering information. If you hear anything about this crime, or discover someone trying to sell bulk crank baits on the internet, please call the marina. (Possible reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.) We will post more information as we continue to investigate.
