The lake is about 7 ft away from being back to normal.  We are looking forward to getting our launch ramp back for the fall.  Shad have become very concentrated on the flats.  Many anglers catching good numbers of white bass near K Dock.  Once the lake stops dropping 6″ per day, the fall bite should be great for all species!

Lake Level – 665.99 and falling

Lake Temp – 70 to 72 degrees

Lake is Clear

Black Bass – Good on a variety of baits including:  Top water early, spinner baits when windy and Jigs off the points and high rock bluffs.  Also good on crank baits and square bills down the steep banks.  (Crank baits has become difficult to fish off the rocks since the Zebra Mussels have moved in.  Many anglers have resorted to fishing with Braid to save their line from being cut.)

Walleye – Fair on bottom bouncing night crawlers.  Trolling crank baits will improve once the lake stabilizes.

Crappie – Fair on live minnows.

White Bass – Good on lipless crank baits, rooster tails and small spinner baits.  Follow the surfacing shad!
