The bite is really starting to pick up around the K Dock area!  Finally seeing a good number of big Crappie coming in!  The Bass are also hitting on a large variety of lures and jigs.  If we could just get the water temp to jump up to 60+ it will be awesome!!!  The lake is looking great for spring fishing.  At normal level with good color… and no Debris!!!  The boat launch and courtesy dock is out of the water!  (Its been a long time since I have been able to post that!)  Please stop in to check out our new line of spring tackle!  We have crappie minnows for $2.50 per dozen and Canadian night crawlers.  Judy and I are ready to see some anglers this year!

Water Temp – 54 to 57 degrees

Water Level – 658.8  (Just below normal pool)

Water is Stained to Clear

Black Bass – Good on Wiggle Warts, Spinner Baits and Alabama Rigs.  Also good on Finesse Jigs and Shaky Head plastics.  Not quite out of pre-spawn patterns.

Crappie – Good on swimming minnows and live minnows in coves.  Still not right up on the banks, but should change if we can get some warm days in a row.  Hitting in 8 to 10 ft near timber and brush piles.

Walleye – Slow on night crawlers and small crank baits.  Lots of shorts being caught.  Much better closer to Power Site Dam area.

White Bass – ??????  No reports around the dock.  Strange, but the water temp needs to come up to see them chasing shad on the flats here.  Much better numbers in the Beaver Creek arm of the lake.
